Polisena vineyard

Polisena vineyard

This field took the name from the very close agritourism “Polisena l’Altro Agriturismo”, which has been recently renovated.
Polisena is our highest vineyard, at about 600 m.a.s.l. and it is the land of our white grapes Chardonnay and Pinot gries. The quite high temperature range enhance the wide and complex aroma of the derived wines.

The very first vines were planted here in 2005, and the first organic grapes were vinified in 2009 as Valcalepio bianco Doc. In Polisena vineyard we cultivate also a red variety which is called Franconia, actually present in this territory since the ’80s.

The soil has a strong mineral character which is carried to the wines. The perfect south exposition leads to the best condition possible in terms of sunlight.
